It was my second month of Year 7, and I was set homework for my Wood Technology class. The assignment was to create a game that taught you the four types of glue, and what materials they are used for. Being experienced in making games (using Game Maker), I got very excited and made a platformer game with music and bosses. The teacher was very impressed and said that not her or her boyfriend could get past the boss! For my submission, I was nominated for a Jack Petchey award.
It’s a very simple Game Maker game where there are four characters, each a type of glue, and four buttons to switch between the glues. For each glue, there is a material that only that glue can defeat. To get through the level, you need to touch the goal object, but you typically can’t reach it without defeating all the enemies first. I made a sequel, but I can’t find the executable for that.
